Pussycat Dolls Present: Benjamin, Better Than Ever
Fans of reality television and pop music may remember Jamie Benjamin, who appeared and competed as one of the pop group hopefuls in Pussycat Dolls Present: The Search for the Next Doll. However, she was the second girl to be eliminated from the contest, with a lack of self-confidence being cited as the main reason. She previously had difficulties with singing and performing in public. But in a follow-up interview with Buddy TV after leaving the competition, she candidly detailed her future plans and goals in order to keep her career active. Among these were continuing to work on her planned debut album, maintaining a page with updates for interested fans, and uploading videos online of her ongoing advancement.
Just as she said she would, Benjamin focused on producing musical content and has uploaded it to share on her page, which launched last month. At present, there are four featured tracks there which she has performed: “Lovin’ Me,” “Lovin’ Me – Hell’s Kitchen Remix,” “Fame,” and “Lifetime.” Each one of these original songs can be listened to in samples, or bought fully and downloaded. Aside from the music, videos
of her recording sessions at Sony Studios have also been uploaded for everyone’s viewing pleasure.
While it has also been stated on her site that Benjamin intends to go on tour in Northeastern America and Canada, specific dates have yet to be announced. She is currently under contract with Vocal Chills Management and A-List Entertainment Management, and her upcoming album will be sold by Interscope Records. While she has yet to truly make it big in the entertainment industry, she’s arguably come a long way from a young girl who started belting out tunes and studying the basics of singing at the age of four. She’s also well-versed in ballet, jazz dance and hip-hop dance, having performed with the Pennsylvania Ballet Company.
