American Head Charge

Nitrus Records

American Head Charge are survivors. Despite numerous lineups, the tragic death of guitarist Bryan Ottoson and changing labels, the band is still creating music and decimating crowds across the globe. Their new Nitrus Records CD/DVD compilation aptly-titled Can’t Stop the Machine chronicles their rollercoaster career. Guitarist Benji Hellberg sums up the DVD best. “I want fans to be able to feel like they’re getting to see inside the band members’ souls. The story is completely out of control and unbelievable, and the music is just as out of control and unbelievable.” With numerous extras, music videos and unreleased tracks, fans are granted all access to the enigmatic band like never before. The DVD also features a 75-minute documentary with tour and studio footage from the last five years, as well as jarring and honest interviews with members both past and present. Holding nothing back, the film captures the darkness and genius inherent within American Head Charge.

Drk Syde

Def: Drk Syde - To face the one thing that we fear the most, ourselves.

The world isn't prepared for what they are about to be presented with. There is no preparation for the such. You can listen to every genre of music ever created. You can search through all of the 8 tracks and phonograph records, cd's, you name it. You can ask around, you could have been around. But nothing, and I repeat nothing that will be comparable to Drk Syde.

Faux Jean

The New Fidelity

faux jean began in 2000 as a solo project for a duluth singer-songwriter-producer known to his friends as matty. like his fellow duluthian bob zimmerman, matty felt that his strange and very ethnic last name would prevent him from achieving worldwide musical hegemony and so he took the name faux jean as his own. soon, a band stood up to the cause of the fake denim revolution, and faux jean had six faces instead of one. In a tour van they sought the four corners of the usa in search of redemption while releasing 3 albums in as many years. in the process they got to play with crazy fuckers like cyndi lauper and frank black. release number 4 looms and promises to send the fauxs on the road to redemption (if not to new york and la) again in 2006. climbing in the van this time around are the lovely and talented Honey Jean singing fiercely, Faux Suede bassing basely, C-Note Jean drumming madly, Rockin' Gene Bakken shredding tastefully, Faux Pav saxing with a silent v, and Jean D'ax, we hope. Faux Jean (the boy from duluth) will be there too. released "Kiss Life on the Lips" 2001 (New Fidelity) released "Nature" 2002 (Susstones) released "Dead Lover" 2003 (Susstones)

Golden

FreeFlo Records

Lights dim; everyone senses the artist is about to appear. GOLDEN gets on stage and instantly captivates. Memorable beats and lyrics follow, satisfying the crowd’s need to move and be moved. This night—this concert—is fun, frenzied, fast and is clearly the work of a hip-hop emcee on the way up.
GOLDEN is Casey Golden. White, Jewish and from Reading, Pennsylvania, he now centers his work in Minneapolis (he is a graduate of Macalester College). Golden, a founding member of S.U.S.P.E.C.T.S., first appeared in the local hip-hop scene with the critically acclaimed record “Delusions of Grandeur.”
Now it’s time for Golden’s solo career. Debut record “PEDDLING MEDICINE” is set for the first half of 2007. Pulse Magazine has already hailed the track “It Ain’t Me” as “an instant classic.”

Harp and Finial

Harp and Finial was first started as a home studio project by Damon Kalar in the basement of a Seattle home. A home he shared with his brother, Ethan. He created many songs, and with the help of bassist Jes Seamans and Ethan - he put of a small run of a cds under the name damon and reru.
After moving back to the twin cities, the project was put on hold to pursue other musical efforts. Once there he met local drummer, Joe Gaskill, and they helped put together and build a band named DAY KIT.
But in 2004, after the breakup of DAY KIT, Kalar and Gaskill were left with a purpose - the purpose of rock. Hence, they formed Harp and Finial. Jacob Mullis from, at the time, Seldomseen, and currently Fort Wilson Riot was enlisted to play guitar and sing. Mark of the Underdogs' frontman, Blake Stoppel, said he could play bass and sing, and local guitar wiz, Nathanael Smith, would come to play guitar as well.
In October 2004, the five began recording their first record, Earthquakes are Easy. Many of the same songs from damon and reru were used, and some new ones were added. Tracking at Sound Gallery Studios with producer, Nick Tveitbakk, Harp and Finial laid down the entire record in a few short weeks. It soon became all they hoped for - amazing.
Harp and Finial can been seen playing the Twin Cities area frequently.

JahRed Chapter

Karpediem Productions

In the midst of bright lights, ubiquitous movie stars, towering buildings, and Grammy award winning entertainers there exists an emerging phenom of which Hollywood and the music industry very seldom see, a unique talent that comes along but once every few years. He is a young entrepreneur who can produce his own music, write his own lyrics, and flow as well as, if not better then some of the greatest emcees in the game today. He is the C.E.O of Karpediem Productions, Jahred Chapter. This Los Angeles native possesses that rare gift of a musical ear that places his sound in a style of its own. Without using samples from old records or drum loops from five year old, played-out hits, Jahred Chapter composes an amalgamation of R & B and hip-hop tracks that cant be recognized as old hits transformed, but rather new hits forged from his minds ear. These musical potions radiate a power that seems to put its listeners in a state of awe. Jahreds clever lyrics with catchy hooks create that after effect where you just cant get a song out of your head. Jahreds talent is that rare type that is finally putting the art back into the hip-hop and rap world. He has given a new essence to lyrics of substance while finding a way to skillfully mix underground content with mainstream, club-bangin tracks. Jahred Chapter is the glue that is going to fuse the separation of mainstream and underground hip-hop, bringing in an audience from both genres that will extract masses of listeners all across the globe to vibe with his innovative, eclectic style. Jahred Chapter is the next big phenom in the music world who has already begun to captivate audiences in his home-town of Los Angeles while threatening to spread like wild fire with the right distribution and support. Kill-Me Karebare

Killme Karebare emerged from a piece of dust that landed in the eye of a giant named Karebare. The dust was actually Blake and Chris the"Giant Hunters." The giant had them cornered in his eyelid. With one blink he could kill both of them. They knew they were in trouble so they said, "go ahead Killme Karebare." Instead of killing them the giant started to cry and it washed them out onto the lowland. This escape made them feel like super heros with super ideas. So they thought up the unthinkable. "Lets call Ethan he just moved here from Seattle" Next thing you know Ethan shows up and is also exposed to the magic flying dust of wisdom and almost loses it, because dust is so small its hard to see in the first place. We decided to put our heads in a circle to see if they would form a square but we felt we needed one more head to complete the circle. And we all knew the answer...PIZZA!! But with only 3 of us the pizza could not be split evenly without cutting one of the slices in half. "Ha ha, I've got it," Ethan screams, "I will call my brother Damon and see if he wants to share this pizza with us" "Well thats the best idea I have ever heard" says Chris. Blake agrees even though he thinks he thought of that idea the day before. With the arrival of Damon the square was complete. We could now move on in our journey for giants and focus on the future of Killme Karebare......to be continued

LIKEHELL

Rekords/Rekords

Seeing Likehell perform live is like being at a party in Hollywoods underground. Its 4 a.m. The dark and brooding are mixing with the mischievous and wild. The beautiful walk among the depressed. Its a blur of all things carnal, experimental, glamorous and psychotic. Around every corner is another mesmerizing scene, another form of satiation, another potential explosion.

Formed in 1994 by brothers Nick Eldorado (vocals) and Tony Oliveri (drums), and longtime friends Frank Throwup (bass) and Matt Bockley (guitar), Likehell is a band that defies categories. Its music is a merger of such genres as heavy metal, glam, psychopunk, 70s anthem rock and even a little bit of burning-through-the-desert-in-a-dusty-Cadillac country, and lyrics that are direct and deadpan.

The hard driving backing of Oliveri, Throwup and Bockley serves as a catapult for the always theatrical Eldorado, a sexy, cherub-faced madman who is mellow one second, desperate and explosive the next. The bands tight-knit history and common philosophy that the show is the antecedent to the biz combines to form a cool and easy, creative and ferocious stage presence that makes for a raucous and unpredictable live performance.

An underground band at its heart, Likehell has nonetheless stepped into the spotlight since its inception, sharing the stage with an impressive array of bands, including The Cult, Beck, Iggy Pop, Soul Asylum, Motorhead, Queens of the Stone Age and Buckcherry. Over the years, the bands hard work, diverse appeal and reputation for incredible live performances have earned them a loyal following of fans, who come from all corners of the music spectrum and will continue to cross genre lines to witness the rock n roll spectacle that is Likehell.

Staija

Fate sometimes smiles upon those who least expect it. This was the case for STAIJA during their chance meeting with Grammy-award winning audio engineer Steve Hodge in 2004. After listening to STAIJA's successful first EP "A New Energy," Hodge took STAIJA under his wing and honed three new songs for the "Show Yourself" EP as a pre-curser to a full length release expected early 2006.

Live, STAIJA's contagious vortex of energy is fueled by its rabid and rapidly growing fan base. Singer Alex Anderson's voice hovers over the dynamic, fleshy undertones, partnering with guitarist/singer Tony Williams at times for ambient, hypnotic harmonies that lull you into its grip. At other times, Anderson's eyes peel back, the rhythm section pounces, and a growling potency smashes down on you in furious ecstasy. This brilliant and unique show is enhanced by elaborate drum breakdowns, where Williams joins drummer Dane Tuders for well-orchestrated and stunning tribal rhythms. Dane's abilities are also displayed on a side project called F.O.R., which includes Paul Gray of Slipknot, as well as Chad Hanks, and Martin Cock of American Head Charge.

STAIJA has shared the stage spotlights with several national recording artists including: Taproot, Kings X, Flaw, SOiL, Trapt, Powerman 5000, American Head Charge, and Marilyn Manson. When STAIJA took the stage before Marilyn Manson, in front of a crowd notorious for eating the opening act alive, thousands of uninitiated concertgoers erupted in unanimous approval. This event made it resoundingly clear that STAIJA is ready for the next step.

Over the last three years, the members of STAIJA have exerted a tremendous amount of focused energy into sharing their art with as many people as possible. With a sound and performance versatile enough to intrigue and engage any music listener, STAIJA is ready to take hold of the national spotlight. They only need to be given the opportunity and the audience. Let fate smile upon you, and help push STAIJA to a new level.
