Vincent set out the next morning to the Illuminatis's home deep in the dense Blackwick woods.  When he found him, the Illuminatis didn’t want to help, until he heard that it was for the Ariiad.  His eyes turned deep with a look that Vincent knew could only occur from hearing the Ariiad’s playing.  The Illuminatis struck a deal.  In exchange for his soul, Vincent could have the forbidden love that he and the Ariiad had shared in secret.   They would have no worries of the horrible Prince Ulagant for the rest of their lives. But when he died, his soul belonged to the Illuminatis.  Vincent agreed, and the Illuminatis gave him a magical canvas to use when the Prince's portrait was painted.
